Executive/Management

  • Robert Gilliam, AIC

    Chairman

    36 years of experience

    Robert is one of the original founders, with claims experience dating back to 1987. He served as President and CEO until Vanguard’s 25th anniversary in 2022. During that period, Vanguard grew from a two-person regional adjusting firm to an internationally recognized leader in claims administration, investigation, and technology. In addition to responsibilities as Chairman, Robert oversees Vanguard’s acquisitional growth strategy and Insurtech development, while maintaining a consulting role in Vanguard’s operations.

  • Martha Gilliam

    Executive Vice President Finance

    32 years of experience

    As co-founder and EVP of Finance, Martha’s decades of experience, dating back to 1997 working behind the scenes established Vanguard’s fiduciary reputation as a secure financial partner. This provides an international assortment of clients the confidence to trust Vanguard with increasingly larger loss funds, knowing necessary administration and corporate compliance will be scrupulously maintained. With a large staff of managers, supervisors, and support technicians in place, Martha has been able to reduce her involvement in daily operations while remaining available for troubleshooting and general oversight.

  • Brian Gilliam, AIC, AINS

    President, CEO

    Brian began his career with Vanguard in 1998 operating strictly as a Casualty Field Adjuster. Over the years, he has invested himself in property lines, automobile lines, subrogation recovery, and has been a key contributor to the growth of Vanguard’s successful infrastructure. Adding to the depth and versatility of Vanguard management, in 2022 Brian was named President and CEO for Vanguard. In this role, he oversees all Vanguard operations in order to maintain Vanguard’s high levels of customer service.

  • Nicole Goral

    Senior Vice President TPA Services

    25 years of experience

    Nicole is a well-known participant in the London Market having spent many years with Jimcor Agencies as a Claims Supervisor and Litigation Manager dating back to 1998. In her role with Vanguard, Nicole is responsible for overall management of TPA operations. With progressive experience organizing and administering claims investigation efforts, managing risk exposures engendered by property, general liability and automobile claims, Nicole is a significant asset to Vanguard’s continued growth.

  • Jonathan Dunn, AIC, CIA, CIU

    Vice President IA Services

    22 years of experience

    Since starting with Vanguard, Inc. in 2002, Jonathan has successfully operated both as a casualty and property adjuster. Beginning his career as a Field Adjuster with Vanguard, he also spent 2 years with The Philadelphia Contributionship as a Field Adjuster. After serving as a Supervisor for Vanguard Adjusters for 7 years, in 2016 he was promoted to Vice President of IA Service at Vanguard. In his present role as Vice President IA Services, Jonathan oversees all of Vanguard’s adjusters to confirm the overall vision, mission, values, beliefs, and strategic goals are met.
